Dismas Project Sprout

On October 1, Dismas House cut the ribbon for the brand new Dismas Project Sprout. Vice-Mayor Rick Rushton was on hand to cut the ribbon for the new solar-powered greenhouse. Thanks to the generous support of Grant and Helen Wilson, through the CARLISLE Foundation, and the Cricket Foundation, Dismas House is pleased to launch Dismas Project Sprout. The solar greenhouse will provide a growing space for neighborhood partners and will be part of a vocational, horticultural program for Dismas residents. The Regional Environemtnal Council will use the greenhouse to grow starter plants for the city’s community gardens, and the Worcester Roots Project will grow lead-leaching plants in the greenhouse.
